What is Klango 3?

Klango 3 is a self-voicing windows application.

A screen-reader is not required to use it. In fact, the screen is not required, either.
Klango 3 uses speech synthesisers installed on Your system.

Klango 3 is a client for Klango Network services.

Klango 3 gives You access to a friendly social network.

You can use it to read forums, write private messages, publish a blog, create and join groups.

You can manage Your profile and search for new friends. You can add and remove other users from the list of Your contacts to track what are they doing on Klango.

You can share notes, polls, prompters and favourite media with Your friends and groups.

This and many more features gives You countless possibilities of using Klango as a social network client.

Klango 3 is a media player and recorder.

Klango 3 can play local media files in many formats.
It can also play and download internet media like radio stations, podcasts, YouTube videos etc.
You can record this media to mp3 files on Your hard drive while listening.
Radio stations You are listening are buffered so You can pause, fast forward and rewind them.
Klango 3 can record Your voice from a microphone.
It can be used as a media converter with many possible formats.

Another important aspect of Klango is the Open Media Catalogue.
Thousands of internet media collected, described and categorised by users.
Radio stations, podcasts, audio books, YouTube clips, RSS channels and web pages.
You can browse them to find Your favourite kind of music or something on desired topic. You can rate and comment all those items.

What can I do with Klango 3?

You can discuss with other users on public forum.

Open main menu using 'left alt'.
Select 'Klango Network' and press enter (or simply press 'k').
Select 'Forums' and press enter (or simply press 'f').
Using up and down arrows select forum for Your language.
Select a forum You are interested in.
Now You are able to read the list of discussions topics.
Pressing enter on a topic will move You to the thread form where You can read the whole discussion using 'tab' and 'shift'+'tab' keys.
Form field after the last message is a place for You where You can write Your reply.

You can search for radio with your favourite kind of music and play it.

Open main menu using 'left alt'.
Select 'Media' and press enter (or simply press 'm').
On next list press enter to select 'Klango Open Media Catalogue'.
Press down arrow until You hear 'Music Styles' and press enter.
Now in similar way select Your favourite music style.
Choose one from a long list of available radio stations, press enter and wait until radio starts playing.
While listening to the radio press F1 and/or use menu to know how to use more advanced playback features or record radio to file.

You can install an additional application.

Open main menu using 'left alt'.
Select 'Programs' and press enter (or simply press 'm').
Select 'Download programs and updates' and press enter.
Now pressing up and down arrow select a program that looks interesting to You.
Before downloading and installing You can view the Readme for this program to find out more about it.
After installation is complete You can go again to the 'Programs' menu and find installed application in its category.
After application starts You can switch back to Klango Player using F2 key.

You can do a plenty other things.

Open a menu. Go to 'Klango Network' and 'Klango Community'.
On 'Who's Online' list search for user that speak Your language.
Select 'Send a Private Message' option and ask Him what he is using Klango for. you will be surprised with countless ways of using Klango 3 !
