Participating in translation

Taking an active part in translating is easy …and important, because it’s the only way Klango can be fully presented to your fellow citizens.

First of all, you should contact (via PM) supervisor of your language (or language you are interested in). She/he should explain you all details. If the supervisor don’t respond to your queries for a long time, please let us know about it.

If a language of your interest is not included in the above list, please also report us this fact (in such situation you will be probably the first candidate for a supervisor!).

The supervisor should describe the process of translation to you similarly to what we wrote below.

First, you should download the newest version of Klango 3 and install the Klango TransTool application through the Programs menu. The latter program is the main translators’ tool. It should allow you to view language files.
If you decide to start translating, you will have to join choosen Klango Translations group. Send a request for subscription using the Klango Network - Groups menu. Admin of the group (who is also the supervisor of language version) should respond to your request in a few days. If she/he doesn’t do that, please contact us.
If you become a full member of the group, you will be able to suggest translations of all texts in Klango. However, the translations can be commited to server only by the group admin (i.e. supervisor of language version).
All Klango Translation groups have their own forums, so all problems can be discussed with the rest of translators in your group.
There are some important technical issues you should know, but your supervisor should inform you about them.
